Our high quality standards are determined by the way we like to work

ALPENRIND GmbH - based in the beautiful province of Salzburg - is a regional enterprise, which supplies customers throughout the whole of Europe with high quality beef and veal. It is part of the globally active OSI Group, one of the largest private food producers in the world.

There are good reasons for why we specialize in beef and veal. We are located right in the middle of a mild production area that has a high concentration of organic farmers.

We exercise a strong duty of care toward our animals bay maintaining active partnerships with our producers and distributors. The result for our customers? Top-quality beef. That`s what our name stand for!

Economic significance

ALPENRIND is the leading meat processing company in the region and also the largest cattle slaughterhouse in western Austria. What`s more, a large proportion of organic beef produced in Austria is brought to market by Alpenrind. In 2009, ALPENRIND-salzburg achieved a turnover of around EUR 100 million.

Investment

Since 2008, several million euros have been (and continue to be) invested in our Salzburg facility. As a responsible company, ALPENRIND focuses its investment on modernization and environmental protection measures in all areas.

Employer of more than 200 people

On average, around 80 of our won employees and - depending on the current order situation - up to 120 employees from contracting companies in Salzburg, are dedicated to ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality meat on a daily basis.
